Scholar in Residence Mr. Stephen Savitsky & Chazzan Benzion Miller

We are honored to have Mr. Stephen Savitsky as our Scholar in Residence on May 7th, 2016 Parshas Acharei.

Stephen J. Savitsky has served as either President or Chairman of the Board of the Orthodox Union from 2002-2014.
Under his tenure he introduced a variety of innovative programs, and has served as a scholar-in-residence at synagogues throughout North America, South America, Europe, Israel, and South Africa, visiting Jewish Communities both small and large.
Mr. Savitsky has held many leadership positions in the Jewish community, including First Vice President of the Bnai Zion Foundation; President of the Vaad Hakashrus of the Five Towns and Far Rockaway; founder and President of the Kew Gardens Hills Eruv; and President of Congregation Ansche Chesed in Hewlett, Long Island, NY.
Mr. Savitsky is the President and Chairman of the Board of ATC Health Care Services, a nationwide provider of temporary medical staffing. He also founded and served as CEO and Chairman of the Board of Tender Loving Care – Staff Builders, one of the nation’s largest providers of home health care services. He graduated from Yeshiva University with a degree in Economics and received an MBA from The Bernard Baruch Graduate School of Business.
He lives in the Five Towns with his wife Genie and their children and grandchildren.

As it will be Shabbos Mevorchim Iyar, we will of course have the privilege of hearing our world renowned Chazzan Benzion Miller lead the davening. Accompanied by the Y.I.B.E. Aaron Miller Memorial Choir which will be conducted by Eli Miller.
